About Me…
My name is Dr. Moses Kipchumba Lagat and I am a Board-Certified Consultant Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow with over 18 years of experience in clinical practice, medical education, and research. I am a holder of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical degrees from the University of Nairobi and trained at Kenyatta National Hospital, East and Central Africa’s largest referral hospital, where I gained extensive exposure to high-risk obstetric care and maternal and child health.
I am passionate about advancing evidence-based, tech-enabled, and patient-centered maternal care in Africa and globally and I currently serves as a Consultant OBGYN at Strathmore University Medical Centre and Coptic Hospital, and as a Medical Educator at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), where I mentor future clinicians. I am also a Research Fellow at CREATES and Afreomed Africa, with active interests in Maternal & Childhealth, health policy, and workplace well-being in healthcare. I am a founder of MCH Connect: a digital Platform Connecting women to care and care-givers.
One of my recent milestones and a step forward to further advance maternal care is that I am one of the 2025–2027 candidates for the Master’s in Advanced Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Barcelona.
